Steven Sabella, Craftsman
Back in the day, I worked in the home building trades and was also the owner and operator of a wood product company based in Connecticut.
Fate stepped in when a Nantucket furniture maker moved the production side of his business to Connecticut. When I walked into the workshop, I was captivated by the beauty of the furniture. In 1992, I joined the team. I started my career as a working apprentice building fine furniture alongside specialized craftsmen. Taking wood carving and turning classes helped to refine my skills.
Twelve years later, a move to the Rhode Island coast led me to a lead position. An abundance of wood and reclaimed materials surrounded my workspace. This position allowed me to design and build furniture that ultimately inspired the FUSED collection.
In 2013, it was time for me to start my own furniture studio. From the awe-inspiring landscapes to the small business-friendly atmosphere, New Hampshire continues to support my mission as a craftsman. Our clients are mindful consumers who appreciate our fairness when it comes to pricing and our attention to detail with each piece of handcrafted furniture.
When I reflect on my beliefs, the phrase "farm to table" comes to mind. I have always valued handmade and locally grown items that enhance quality of life. I'm proud to contribute in my own way and we're grateful to call our clients, our friends.
